This is for the landowner.\n\nIn an attempt to get us flying\, the monthly meeting will be post launch. The winds are predicted to pick up by noon\, we will fly as long as safely possible.\n\n \nWaiver is 12\,000 ft AGL with a 2 nm radius of recovery area. All high power flyers must sign the waiver at the rocket check-in (RSO) table.\n\n\nBecome a member of score at SCRonline.net! $20 for an individual membership or $25 for a family membership. Visiting high power flyers\, that are not members\, are asked for a $5 donation\, this helps maintain our launch system\, rails\, and the land we fly on. If you are unsure of your membership status\, we can check for you!\n\nClub t-shirts (short sleeve and long sleeve) and 2023’s chili Blaster t-shirt (short sleeve) will be available at the launch. There are livestock that we cannot let out! Tell your friends\, family members\, students etc!\n\nRange set up at 8:00 am. Club meeting at 9 am. Safety briefing following meeting. After the meeting and safety briefing\, as long as we have volunteers at LCO and RSO\, the range can open. Flying will continue through the day until the wind picks up or we run out of motors. Waiver is 12\,000 ft AGL with a 2 nm radius of recovery area.\n\nWe will potentially be visited by Regis High School and Cub Scout Troop 117. Please consider lending a hand\, especially to the Cub Scouts! They are young and excited\, let’s all put our best foot forward to keep them excited but SAFE!\n \nAll high power flyers must sign the waiver at the rocket check-in (RSO) table.\n\nBecome a member of score at SCRonline.net! $20 for an individual membership or $25 for a family membership. Not just rolling hills\, actual canyons. Sometimes rockets drift under chute longer than you’d like. If your rocket heads to the tree line\, STOP. Get your line of sight. SHOW someone what direction you are heading! If you have a compass and know how to use it – DO. If you know how to drop a pin on your location on a GPS or google maps – DO! Watch your time\, know how long you’ve been gone. The longer you are gone the higher the risk. And most important: TAKE WATER!!! Here’s an article with more detail on the canyon area west of the launch site. \nOther Hazards and how to minimize your risks:\nThis list is not all inclusive but we are rocket scientists so use your best judgement to keep yourself and others safe. \n\nSun: sunscreen\, hats\, protective clothing\, easy-ups\, hydration\, cooling towels\nDehydration: drinking water\, electrolyte drinks such as body armor and Gatorade\, AVOID soda\, Drink water\, cooling towels\, if you aren’t visiting the port-a-potties – you aren’t drinking enough\nBugs: bug spray\, protective clothing\, do not stop and stand on ant hills\, look before you pick things up\, pay attention to what you might be swatting at.\nAnimals: 1) There are horses on the land. If you cross paths with them\, leave them alone and go about your business. 2) Bears\, Mountain Lions and Snakes. Yep\, no joke. Please take the canyons seriously. There is food\, water\, and shelter in the canyons and so wild life wanders down from the hills. Please do not go into the canyon without telling someone\, it really is better to team-hike!\n\nIf you hear what might be crying\, turn and go the opposite direction. Mountain Lions make a noise that is similar to the sound of a small child crying. DESCRIPTION:No better way to kick off summer than a Rocket Launch and BBQ! \n \nJoin SCORE Saturday July 1st at the Steely Memorial Launch Site just outside of Pueblo. (See website SCRonline.net for exact location and directions.) Waiver 12\,000 AGL!\n \nSouthern Colorado Rocketeers will start the day with set up at 8 am. Club meeting will be held at 830 am. Launch to start at 9 am. BBQ will get going at about 1130 am. Launching can continue till 4 pm or when the wind/weather kicks up.\n \nSCORE will provide burgers\, hot dogs\, and buns. Please consider bringing your favorite side dish or dessert to share. We encourage everyone to bring their own drinks. We need someone to bring their grill. If you are willing to bring your grill\, email me ASAP. (I will respond to confirm.)\n \nClub meeting Agenda:\n1. ULA will be at the July 15th launch. They will have 2 of their large rockets. These rockets will be flying on ‘O’ motors. There will be food trucks on site. Bring your family and friends!\n    ~Any vendors that know or are tentative\, please let me know what size spot you need so that we have a spot for you on Vendor Row.\n    ~Volunteer sign up sheets will be available on Saturday\, July 1st\, as well as July 15th if fill-ins are needed. We need 2 volunteers at each spot. Two hour time frames for each location: 8am\, 10am\, 12pm\, 2pm.\n        -Volunteers needed for:\n              1. 2x Launch Control Officers (Must be high power certified level 1 or higher)\n              2. 2x Rocket Safety Check Table (Must be high power certified level 2 or higher)\n              3. 2x Roaming Range Safety Officer (Must be high power certified level 3 or higher)\n        -Additional Volunteers\n               Range Setup: 7 am\, multiple volunteers requested.\n               Range Cleanup: Whenever the last flight flys\, multiple volunteers requested.\n               Parking Directors: 7 am – 9 am\, multiple volunteers requested.\n \n2. The State Fair Parade is on August 26. Anyone wanting to help build and have input on the SCORE float for the parade should consider being at this planning meeting to have your voice heard!\n        ~Sign up sheet will be available on Saturday\, July 1st\, for the construction team.\n        ~There will also be a sign up sheet available for anyone that wants to participate in the parade.
